SELF-EXAMINATION OF THE SPIRIT, BODY AND SOUL AND WHY SELF-EXAMINATION IS IMPORTANT

Ephesians 4.4-7 There is one body and one spirit –just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call one Lord, one faith one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over and through all in all.

Self-Examination is the capacity for introspection and the ability to recognize oneself as an individual, separate from the environment of another individual. Becoming aware of the existence and power of the Body, Spirit and Soul is a new dimension in our Christian lives. Believing and accepting the role and their importance brings liberation, guidance and everlasting covenant of the Lord and hence helps us not to satisfy the desire of our human nature.
Jesus Christ our Savior of the world, who was full of grace and power, realized the importance and needs to be baptized with the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:5). But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witness in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Another important and exciting reason why we should become aware of the Spirit is that we can boldly and confidently call ourselves sons and daughters in Christ. The Holy Spirit directs our path and even our prayer. He has given the Spirit as a guarantee. (Romans 12.4-5) For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same functions. So we, though many are one body in Christ, and individually members one another. Importance of the body outlines. When we become aware of the body we join ourselves to the Lord and become one spirit within Him. (1 Corinthians 6:17).  Another important reason is that our earthly bodies become the temple of the Holy Spirit within us, whom we have from God.(1 Corinthians 6:19) He Himself bore our sins in His Body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. (1 Peter 2:24) This is another awesome advantage for us Christians. And now Israel what does the Lord your God require of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. (Deuteronomy 10:12) Importance of the soul is as follows. (Psalm 23:3) He restores our soul; He leads us to the path of righteousness for His namesake. If we incline our ear and come to Him, hear that our soul may live. The bible goes on to say. And He will make with us an everlasting covenant. (Isaiah 53:3).The body, spirit, and soul work hand in hand and make up one body in Christ Jesus. Amen!
