When All Seems To Crumble!

2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. 3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? 4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.” (Mark 16:2-4)

Crumble means to fall apart; to disintegrate. To render into crumbs according to the Webster Dictionary.

We cannot say it is well whilst we are in pain, anguish, suffering, when there seems to be no tomorrow we all attest to this fact, but as Bible believers and Christians, we know for sure that victory comes in one name and that is Jesus. In the book of Exodus Chapter 3 Verse 2, we learn that in the midst of flames of fire there appeared God, in the midst of life-threatening situation there will be our redeemer.

It is written in the book of Daniel Chapter 6 Verses 16 through 21, “So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lion’s den. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, rescued you!” The Bible furthermore states, “A stone was placed over the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the rings of his nobles so that Daniels’s situation might not be changed.” This gives a vivid picture of a situation that we might at times find ourselves in at work, home, in society, and even in the church. All seems hopeless, and all escape plans may appear to be futile, but I write to reveal the well-known secret that our God NEVER fails.

The concluding part of Daniel’s situation is shown as follows; “When he came near the Den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?” Daniel replied, “O king, live for forever!” Oh, glory be to the Most Highest, this will be our song when our redeemer rescues us from every situation we may be experiencing right now. You will have the voice to declare that you live in Christ Jesus.

The Bible recalls a time when the Israelites were in captivity for years, there came to a time for their deliverance, but Pharaoh's’ heart was hardened and pursued them even more. The Israelites began to lament in their afflictions and difficulties because in their minds there was no hope, but in the end, they were led to the promised land. In the book of Exodus Chapter 14 Verse 13, Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see them again.” This is how God revealed His dunamis power in the earth. This same power is active for His children today!

Another place in the Holy Bible provides a visualization that all was appearing to break into fragments before the Israelites are in 1 Samuel Chapter 17 Verse 4; “A champion named Goliath, who was from Gath, came out of the Philistine camp, he was over nine feet tall.” This may depict the afflictions that we experience in life that often seem so tall and wide, dismaying and terrifying. To compile on the fragmentation, we don’t know how to approach the issues of life when they are occurring, because of the great troubling fear of possibly losing the battle. We may also become discouraged by friends, loved ones, and family, but our David arrives just in time! In 1 Samuel 17 Verses 49 through 50, King David is taking action as stated, “Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground. So David triumphant over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him.” Our situation is never too big for God. Our smooth stone is Jesus Christ, the Rock of our Salvation. Remember He gives power to the faint, let us be courageous.

Is the situation that bad? We can clearly see in Matthew Chapter 9 Verses 20 through 21; “Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for over twelve years came up behind Him and touched the edge of His cloak.” She acted in faith and said to herself, “If I only touch His cloak, I will be healed.” Dear man and woman of God, let us come in faith and receive the hope of blessing, peace, and strength to confront the troubles of life. He will always make a way when there seems to be no way. Let us be firm and keep focus.

Does all seem lost? Remember, gather courage and speak to the situation. Jesus Christ rebuked the wind and the sea and everything became calm. The Holy Bible says; the storm was at peace, (Matthew 8:26) Let us not be afraid of any situation and look up to Jesus the finisher and restorer of our faith. When we call upon Him, He will silence every storm of life.

Does all seem hopeless? (Habakkuk 2:3) “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” Is there a heavy load that is too heavy for us to carry? The answer is no. He will send His Holy Spirit to guide us.  The bell in our hearts will sing with joy. A sigh of relief is here; even when all seems barren, weak and depressed? God will give us a cause to smile, a cause to celebrate. Amen!
