FAIR-WEATHER FRIENDS OF CHRIST: A BITTER REALITY AWAITS
Like King Saul, many are continuing in ceremony, unaware that the anointing has shifted to another house. Preaching and teaching about Christ without identifying with his mission and ideals is the highest form of deception that will attract the greatest condemnation.....
Key Texts:
Isaiah 33:14 (KJV)
“The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?”
Isaiah 65:13–14 (KJV)
“My servants shall eat, but ye shall hunger: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:
behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.”
Revelation 3:1 (KJV)
“Thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.”
FAIR-WEATHER FRIENDS THINK IT’S A JOKE
Many who call themselves followers of Christ deceive with their personality, profess faith without truly understanding the cost, and take the name of the Lord in vain.
A bitter reality is approaching — Benchmark 2030. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. This is not the rapture; it is a spiritual shutting in and shutting out. When the cycle comes full, those who walk in genuine obedience will be provided for (Isaiah 33:14), but the fair-weather friends of Christ will experience judgment (Isaiah 65:13–14).
COUNT THE COST
Jesus warned: “Count the cost” (Luke 14:28). He paid the ultimate price: He was spat upon, flogged, rejected, mocked, and hung on a tree. Many fair-weather friends go the same path, seeking false reputation rather than embracing the true cost of discipleship.
Reputation alone is dead weight. Revelation 3:1 reminds us: “Thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.” Many are living on the illusion of faith, thriving on appearances, while the Lord Almighty is bypassing every sacred cow that blocks the flow of His Spirit.
THE LESSON OF THE FIVE FOOLISH VIRGINS
Consider the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1-13). They all followed Christ and carried lamps. Yet, five were unprepared for the next phase. Like them, many believers today lack the wisdom for the coming season. The time to prepare is now — before 2030.
The Lord warns: depart from iniquity. Wash your hands in public like Pilate, as a testimony of separation from sin. Do not sit silently at the table of discomfort, where iniquity is mocked, and innocent lives are targeted.
THE TIME TO DISCERN IS NOW
Many see the truly righteous and God-fearing elect as foolish. Scripture in Malachi teaches: “Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.”
The call is urgent: let those that mention the name of Christ depart from iniquity. Recognize that the grace of God is available, but it requires obedience and alignment with the Spirit. The Lord is separating the wheat from the chaff, and no one can claim neutrality.
