Babies that are still having their food softened, as well as those that have grown to a mature age in Christianity quote the scripture just the same. “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world,” 1 John 4:4 (KJV) is not a scripture that should be taken lightly. The Holy Bible should be eaten in it’s entirety in order to capture its full contextual meaning for what God meant for it to be so that the children of God can walk in fullness of faith. The "spirit of pride" is a recurring theme throughout Scripture, often preceding destruction and spiritual failure. The Origin of Pride: Lucifer’s Fall The most common example of pride is found in Isaiah 14:12–15, where Lucifer declares: “I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God… I will be like the Most High.” This self-exaltation led to his fall, setting the precedent for pride as rebellion against God.
